Richard & I have "fine-tuned" the 1996 carset. We have gone over all of the cars and "cleaned-up" lines and colors. The All American Eagles' have received their beaks! Other minor enhancements were done to a few cars in an attempt to match their livery later in the season. Both the DOS/Win95 and Mac carsets have been updated. For more information please read the README.TXT file.

There are now 2 versions available of the PPG96 carset:

DOS/Win95 (356kb) [Updated 05 October 1996]

Mac (372kb) [Updated 10 October 1996]
We would like to thank Jimmy Merckx for converting our "refined" carset for the Mac. Visit Jimmy's web page.

If you want to do some serious racing with this carset, download the DRIVERS2.TXT file!

Data based on qualifying and fastest laps throughout the 1996 PPG season. I still plan to fine tune this file in the hopes of making a more realistic simulation of the 1996 season. So stay tuned! [Updated 29 September 1996]

1996 PPG/CART Indycar World Series calendar.

I have modified the Calendar file used by IndyCar Racing 2 to reflect the 1996 season. I have substituted New England & Phoenix for the first 2 races for which we do not have tracks. I have also added the U.S. 500.
